Description
Zvasitana Puthooram Heritage is a diamond category residence located in Kumarakom on the banks of Cheepunkal river which flows into the Kumarakom lake. The home-stay is about 100 meters from the Sunset Viewpoint on the lake shore. The host, John is a retired hotelier and management consultant. The rooms are wood paneled heritage homes, most of them salvaged from centuries old houses and painstakingly reassembled at Puthooram with modern facilities like air-conditioning, wifi and running hot water. A well stocked Library and Television is available in the common area. Indoor games like Chess, Monopoly, Carom, Jenga are available. For outdoor activities cycles are available with the host. Barbeque Nights can be organized on request. The home-stay has a shared kitchen and is equipped to prepare South Indian, North Indian and Continental cuisines. Radhakrishnan, the man Friday is also a magician and can keep your kids engaged. Parking (for cars) is available free at the homestay. The Kumarakom bird sanctuary, Drift wood museum, Thanneermukkom Bund are all in a five km radius. You can board your houseboat or hire shikaras for canal cruises from the jetty right next to the resort.
