Try Speciality Coffee at These Cafes in Bangalore

It’s International Coffee Day today and if you're someone (read coffee geek) who enjoys well-crafted brews with a precise roast, quality beans, a specific brewing technique, and distinct characteristics, then this list is for you. Go on a coffee crawl sipping through specialty coffee at these cafes in Bangalore or bring home that experience by ordering online.

1.The Flying Squirrel, Residency Road

The distinctive profile comes from the precision of sun drying, fermenting or pulping the beans when processing them, with the cultivation of the beans in the citrus groves and vanilla plantations of Polibetta estate of Coorg only enhancing the flavour. From a straightforward South Indian filter coffee to a Parama and Aromatique brew, The Flying Squirrel Cafe serves it all. Pair the on-the-rocks cold brew with a Sage & Sea Salt cookie.

The Flying Squirrel: No. 57 Brigade Road, Residency Road, Junction, Shanthala Nagar, Ashok Nagar.

2. Ainmane Cafe and Speciality Store, Indiranagar

While the coffee from this specialty roaster comes beautifully packaged in pouches honouring the flora and fauna of coffee plantations, savour their blends at the store cum cafe, with a limited menu potent enough to give you a caffeine rush, and some sweet treats to go along with it. If you want a cup of something exotic try the famed Kopi Luwak coffee, with a slice of Banana Walnut Bread.

3. The Caffeine Baar Cafe & Roastery, Jayanagar

When you flip over the menu and see fruit-fermented brews including papaya and orange, you'll realise why this roastery founded by barista champion Geetu Mohnani is known as the most experimental coffee brand. The pineapple fermented brew is a must-try here. The roastery is also equipped with an experience centre and a coffee cupping room to afford a closer look at the bean-to-cup process. Keep an eye out for their coffee events and workshops.

You’ll soon get why the chic cafe is a destination for both coffee experts and novices. The cafe is outfitted with a brewing station, tasting bars, a training campus, and on-site roasting to elevate the experience for those who take their coffee seriously. Choose a micro climate beverage from their Playfully Araku menu, which offers fruity blends with milder flavours, or the Seriously Araku menu, with bolder flavours.

Flat White, Latte, Mocha, and Cortado are some of the regular single origin offerings that you'll see on the menu, but what's going to leave you intrigued is their house specials, out of which the Plantation Spritzer, a concoction of mint, lemon and coffee poured over crushed ice feels like summer in a cup! Watch out for their one-of-a-kind Coffee brunch.
