Try the Alternative Pizza Story at Alt Pizza in Koramangala, Bangalore

Singapore-based Alt Pizza has opened doors right above the much-loved Nasi and Mee (also from Foodsta Kitchens). With wholesome sourdough pizzas at the heart of its compact menu, Alt Pizza declares emphatically that it is NOT Italian. The uniqueness starts with Sophia – the brand’s very own sourdough starter that has come all the way from Singapore to India to create that perfect pie. Besides pizza, the menu also features wings, small plates, salads, desserts and refreshing non-alcoholic drinks that make for a great meal when it all comes together.

Try the 400º with crushed tomatoes, pork salami, mozzarella, shaved parmesan and a touch of jalapeno and Bhuvanagiri chilli. Say Cheese brings bocconcini, mozzarella, aged cheddar, parmesan and blue cheese to your pie. Don’t Goat Me Started combines crushed lamb meatballs, roasted mushrooms, onion, mozzarella and a touch of za’atar for some great flavours. Among the starters, the Oh Sweet Garlic is Alt’s take on Garlic Bread. Let’s leave it at - you must try it. Also, try the Beetroot Carpaccio with Crispy Kale and Oven-Roasted Cauliflower. For a heartier small plate, try the Lamb Kawarma, mildly spiced lamb over creamy hummus. 

If you need a little something to finish your pizza crusts, Alt’s crust dips – Blue cheese or Olive Aioli are just the thing. 

End your meal with the Alternative Snicker Bar - salted caramel, coconut ice cream and roasted peanuts. What’s not to love?
