Actress Kavya Shetty gets one with Nature at The Serai Bandipur.

We are lucky enough to be surrounded by nature in the Garden city of Bengaluru. We whiz past mini forests, countless parks, green lanes and so on. However, its not often that one gets to feel the realness of nature and wildlife along with the comforts that make the journey all the more pleasing. 

At the Serai, Bandipur, actress Kavya Shetty felt all that and more. 

This plush, luxury resort is a brainchild of the very group that created the iconic Cafe Coffee Day. The place is inspired by the jungle and is an irresistible mix of human comfort in nature. 

“The entire resort had a sense of realness to it. We were staying in these wooden cabins that was just beautiful inside out.”, Ms. Shetty, who had the opportunity to visit the resort courtesy of Scoop PR, reminisced about her 2 days, 3 nights stay at the Serai. “My friend Deepthi and I felt truly relaxed there; their service was just impeccable. The staff were polite and courteous, and something about being away from the bustling city life felt so refreshing!”

Their stay included a thrilling 5am jungle safari, a refreshing spa, an archery class and bird watching. Ms. Shetty recalls the joy of seeing animals in their natural habitat and learning about the rare bird species that visited the area. 

“It was Christmas time; so the entire place was lit up in the spirit of the festival. It didn’t even feel like two whole days had passed. We were having such a wonderful time there; just swimming, bird watching and of course, the safari rides!We were sharing the space with animals and birds and it made me appreciate the complexities of nature and wildlife to a greater extent than before.”

When going out and about the resort, meal times are the most anticipated part of the day. After having a nice walk and spotting some exciting hoof prints, coming back to a fine meal makes the trip memorable. 

Ms. Shetty agrees with that sentiment. “The food was sumptuous. They were so attentive to the tiniest requirements; nothing was left unchecked.”

On the whole, she recommends taking a trip to Bandipur to detox from the city life in peace. “Spend some time with your friends and family in the midst of nature.  Catch up with each other. You will have a wonderful experience at Serai.”
