Description
Before Ashdale Cottage was converted to a Heritage Boutique hotel, it was still the Royal families summer residence. However, they did open some rooms for travellers and due to the popularity of the guest house, it was decided to start a small in-house cafe - ‘Cafe Green Oak’. Cafe Green Oak was one of the first ‘Cafes’ to open in Nainital and it proved hugely popular due to its chilled out ambience and the crowd it attracted. In 2012 when it was decided to convert the property into a hotel and talks started around the name of the main restaurant, there was no doubt that the main restaurant would be named after the legendary ‘Cafe Green Oak’. Now Green Oak serves Indian, Chinese, European and Kumaoni food. The award winning chefs are all geared up to create something special everyday. There is LIVE MUSIC , every evening at the restaurant and we usually find our guests singing along and having a merry time. Join us for a fun evening, every evening, here at Green Oak.
